Overview
Future Jet is the sci-fi counterpart to Fighter Ops. Same arcade core; different ceiling. Five frames — Astra Viper (free), Neon Raptor ($2.6k), Ghost Seraph ($3.6k strike), Titan Arc ($5k bomber), MiG Nova-X ($5.9k hypersonic) — each tuned with a role: AIR_SUPERIORITY, STRIKE, BOMBER.
The defining mechanic is the drone bay. The Drone Bay upgrade unlocks autonomous wing drones that you launch at locked targets. Multi-Lock (up to 6 targets), Multi-Guided-Missile (volley fire), and Jam-SAM-Sites are all later-tree upgrades.
The world is 7,200 × 4,600 — much larger than the Fighter Ops theatre. Procedurally generated cities, river network, tree clusters, fields, parks and water all matter for line-of-sight against SAM positions, which move per mission.
How to play
- Pick a frame. Astra Viper is fine to start.
- Run sorties. Earn cash. Spend on accuracy, drones and multi-lock first.
- Late game: lock 6 targets at once, fire a multi-guided salvo, and watch the volley tear through the city.
Controls
Frame roles
Astra Viper and Neon Raptor are AIR_SUPERIORITY frames — high turn, high speed, lower payload. Ghost Seraph is a STRIKE frame — survivability and precision. Titan Arc is a BOMBER — 460 hp, 760 max speed, 24 missile stock. MiG Nova-X is the hypersonic capstone — 900 max speed, 22 missile stock.
Drones change the game
Drone Bay (6 tiers) is the most transformative upgrade tree in Future Jet. Wing drones engage independently, soak SAM fire, and let you chain locks even while you reposition. Pair drones with Multi-Lock and Multi-Guided-Missile and your alpha strike doubles.
Tips & strategy
- Accuracy first, drones second, multi-lock third. In that order.
- Bombers (Titan Arc) want low altitude over the city for cover.
- Jam-SAM is a panic button — long cooldown, area effect, saves you from a missile screen.
- The MiG Nova-X feels overpriced until you fly a head-on merge at 900 max speed and one-shot the enemy with a multi-guided salvo.
Frequently asked questions
Is Future Jet the same as Fighter Ops with new graphics?
No — they share the arcade flight feel but Future Jet has a bigger world, drone bay mechanic, multi-lock and SAM jamming. The progression curve is also longer.
How many missions / SAM positions are there?
SAM positions are procedural per mission. The mission count scales with your career level.
