Overview
City Defence asks one question: can the strategic targets you are protecting still stand at the end of the wave? Four weapon classes defend layered ground targets — Central Command, the Fighter Airbase, Heavy Industry, the Nuclear Reactor, a Deep Scan Radar, and East District residential blocks.
Four weapons: Interceptor (homing SAM, fast cooldown, good vs missiles and jets), Phalanx Flak (rapid unguided shots, great vs drones), THAAD Heavy (massive AoE, slow), and the Tomahawk (long-range strike at enemy bases for 800 credits). Pick which you build, where, and how many.
Fifteen missions: First Contact, Double Trouble, Air Superiority, Siege, Blitz, Total War, Nightmare, Apocalypse, Armageddon, Extinction, Ragnarok, Oblivion, Catastrophe, Decimation, Final Stand. Difficulty climbs from 1.0 to 7.0; rewards from $5,000 to $1,000,000.
How to play
- Pick a mission. Spend opening cash on a defensive grid.
- When the wave starts, position interceptors against incoming threats, flak against drone swarms, THAAD as a panic button.
- Earn cash, fortify, repeat.
- Use a Tomahawk strike at an enemy base to slow the wave generator.

Weapon trade-offs
Interceptor (15 cost) is your bread-and-butter SAM — fast, homing, good against most threats. Flak (2 cost) is dirt cheap and saves you from drone swarms. THAAD (75 cost) trades cooldown for 500 damage and 250-radius AoE — drop it on missile clusters. Tomahawk (800 cost) is your only offensive tool — strike enemy bases at long range to reduce wave size.
What you are protecting
Strategic targets have different importance scores: Central Command (35), Power Plant (30), Airbase (25), Radar (20), Industry (15), Residential (10). Losing higher-importance buildings ends the mission faster. Position your interceptor grid around Central Command and the Nuclear Reactor first.
Tips & strategy
- Build a wall of cheap Flak before you fortify any one target — drone swarms eat you alive otherwise.
- Tomahawks pay for themselves only on Mission 4 and up. Below that, you are losing money on each strike.
- THAAD is the panic button. Save one charge per wave for the worst case.
- Interceptor accuracy and range upgrades hard-counter the late missions where everything moves fast.
Frequently asked questions
What is the most important building to defend?
Central Command (importance 35) — losing it cascades the mission.
When does the Tomahawk become worth using?
From around Mission 4 (Siege) onwards. Below that the 800 cost outweighs the wave-reduction reward.
How many missions are there?
15. The final, Final Stand, pays $1,000,000 if you hold the line.
